While most film festivals have either cancelled or postponed, and many filmmakers scramble to find a new path forward, AHEAD OF THE CURVE is taking a page from Franco Stevens’s playbook and making a bold move.
We are tickled to our toes to announce the WORLD PREMIERE of AHEAD OF THE CURVE on Saturday, June 27, as part of the Frameline44 Pride Showcase! And even more exciting … we’re screening LIVE AT THE DRIVE-IN!
You heard right! We’re celebrating PRIDE in community safely, decorating our cars and dressing to impress (from a distance, of course – get your sparkle on!) at the West Wind Drive-In Theater in Concord, California.
With SF Pride and Dyke March cancelled this year we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pride and the 30th anniversary of Curve magazine with you!
Things are happening fast and furious, and we don’t have all the details yet. We understand that tickets will be on sale at frameline.org beginning June 1, and they will go fast. We’ll share all the juicy details as we get them.
If you’re in the Bay Area, we hope you can join us to come out and play … but don’t worry if you can’t make it. There will be other opportunities in the coming months.
Being out and visible is powerful. Now all that’s left is to decide how we’re going to decorate our cars!
